Athens Community Polyclinic and Pharmacy

The Athens Community Polyclinic and Pharmacy (ACP&P) has been in full operation since January 2013 providing free of charge medical assistance and health care to all Greek citizens and immigrants lacking health insurance. The medical treatment offered is of a wide variety, including minor surgical procedures and dental care, and is provided by volunteers of a diverse medical expertise. The ACP&P also includes a Pharmacy Unit.

Appointments can be arranged via phone call or personal request during weekly hours (11.00-18.00).

The ACP&P provides health care to all those unable to afford medical insurance and thus neglected by the National Health System (NHS). It cooperates with a number of volunteers, either freelance medics or NHS workers, in order to fulfil the necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures required by its patients. Specialties of these volunteers include pathology, neurology, psychiatry, paediatrics, orthopaedics, etc. The assistance of psychologists and social workers is also available.

The Athens Community Polyclinic and Pharmacy is a non-profit organisation. Its operation is based purely on charitable procedures and the work of volunteers; therefore, it depends greatly on donations made by the public in order to acquire the necessary equipment and daily supplies for the maintenance of its departments. The free of charge provision of medicine remains, in particular, a major challenge. Rather than let your medicine expire, share it with ASP&C and put it to great use!

The Athens Community Polyclinic and Pharmacy appeals to all medics, dentists, pharmacists, and other health service professionals who are willing to support this cause. Either by becoming a volunteer member of the ASP&C, or by accepting to collaborate with the ACP&C by any possible means and to any extent (e.g. accepting free of charge visits from patients sent by the ASP&C after notification), their support will be deeply valued. Furthermore, the Athens Community Polyclinic and Pharmacy appeals to EVERYONE for their individual support and collaboration. Help us make a difference!
